About
Upcycled Jewellery
D O R T A jewellery pieces are made from repurposed secondhand and vintage beads coupled with 925 sterling silver findings for longevity and quality.
Sourced from across the UK and Europe, each bead is lovingly refreshed and restored by Bethan in her Manchester home studio to give them new life and meaning.
Each piece reflects an aspect of the natural world and serves as a charm for the wearer; a talisman to accompany you on life’s quests.
Workshops
Making things with our hands helps to release tension and ease racing thoughts by anchoring us to the present moment.
D O R T A workshops encourage participants to explore how hand-making coupled with mindful play can help support their emotional wellbeing.
Using a mixture of secondhand beads and beads sourced from independent businesses, we’ll explore how colours, shapes and patterns can be used as a form of expression and communication.
Creative Wellbeing Studies
The wellbeing benefits of creativity are at the heart D O R T A.
There are proven benefits to creativity and hand-making which can aid both our physical and emotional wellbeing.
Through our workshops, practices and shared resources, we aim to educate our community by providing practical guidance to introduce and maintain personal creative practices for improved wellbeing.
