The Stitching Circle

The Stitching Circle Social Club is a free weekly gathering of like-minded textile enthusiasts in Manchester city centre.

In each session we knit, crochet, embroider, darn, weave, wrap and experiment with yarn.

The moon and seasons guide our gatherings. We follow the waxing and waning of the lunar cycle through moon cards and journal prompts and celebrate each turn of the wheel of the year. In doing so, we observe the waxing and waning of our own projects, of a ball of yarn, and we remind ourselves of the origins of our materials and our inherent connection to nature.

By tying these natural rhythms to our crafting practice, we imbue all that we make in the Circle with the magic of our intentions, and cast a spell of connection with each stitch cast on.
